Islamorada is known as the sport fishing capitol of the world. Marlin fishing is at the top of the list of big game fish which fishermen want to hook up with. Catching and boating a marlin is a joint effort of angler, mate, and captain and all have to perform to their ultimate abilities to be successful in boarding and tagging this heavy hitter of the sea. The angler who hooks a marlin will soon realize that he is in one of the most difficult struggles that he has ever undertaken and when the fight has finished, whether successful or not, the angler will be completely exhausted and feel as though they have gone ten rounds in the ring with a professional boxer and you definitely do not want another quick strike. The Dolphin that we are pursuing are fish not some cute mammal that all aquariums have on display. The Bull Dolphin is delightful to catch and beautiful to look at with its bright colors which fade as soon as they are brought aboard a vessel. They are supremely tasty as the entrée on your table.
Islamorada also offers flats fishing and back country charters for those not interested in battling the big bruisers of the deep. Snook, Permit, Trout, and Tarpon are all caught in this area at different times of the year.
The waters around Islamorada also offer snorkeling diving, and the other water sports that a wonderful island vacation normally has.
Dining on the island is outstanding especially if you enjoy seafood; it just doesn’t get any better than here.
This destination is a great place for everybody who enjoys fishing, water, great sunrises, and sunsets, and filling up the memory bank with many fresh memories including the one that did not get away. Come on down the weather is great, the sun is shining and there is no snow in the forecast.
